My baby boy

My sweet Sebastian (my cat), that I have had for four years is no longer with us. I know it's been a long time since I posted and this is terrible news. But I thought this was the easiest way to let peopele know. He had been missing for a week and a half. I put up fliers and sent an email out to my ward members in order to try and find him. I got an email this morning from a member of my ward who said they found a cat fitting Sebastian's description on Saturday night on Center Street. He had just been hit by a car moments earlier and was dead. They moved his body off the road so he wouldn't get run over again. I am so sad right now and don't know how I am going to get through the day. But I guess it is better to know then to wonder for the rest of my life. At least I didn't have to see him die. Anyway, thought you would want to know.

I am still Fun.....

Well, Michelle has been gone a couple of weeks now. It has been very quiet around my house, so I had my nieces Shayla and Olivia come spend the night the other night. On our way to the house Shayla said, "Aunt Diane, you are still fun even though Michelle is gone". I felt an overwhelming amount of joy that she recognizes that I am not a fuddy-duddy, without Michelle around. (giggle, giggle). I was hoping that I hadn't sent all of my charm home with my little Asian daughter. Though I am sure some of it is already gone, as a result of my ever increasing age. Good thing I have them to keep me young, and ever on my toes.

:-(

Big Frownie face.

Michelle is now gone. I can't believe how quickly the ten months went. It was really a trial getting her on the plane. Not only did it take us 15 hours to get home from Disneyland, but the car broke down on the way to the airport and she missed her flight. She decided it happened because Utah does not want her to leave. I agreed, it must be a conspiracy. She called last night to say "hi" but was upset when she found out we ate her corn for dinner. Her corn that was a Christmas present from my mom. I asked her why she hadn't eaten it all herself before leaving. She got really quiet and said, "Because I don't know how to use the can opener." She has already been making plans, unbeknown st to her parents, to come back here next summer and take Aunt Amy and Kadance to Disneyland and to see the Grand Canyon. She also says she wants to come back and go to BYU. It would be cool if she did. She is such a cutie!

I have lost all responsibilities as a parent...what next....I need suggestions people. Let's hear what you have to say. . .(if any of you say "Get Married"-I am disowning you)

"Exaggerate much"

This weekend I talked on the phone to some old friends and I got the age old question, "What's new in your life?" I, of course, due to the many uneventful events in my life responded, "Not much" or " Same old, same old". I decided I am tired of these bland answers and decided I am going to resort to eleborate falsehoods when responding, just to make things more exciting. So, now if you ask me "What's new?" I may respond with a whopper like, "Well, I just won a grammy for my first released single and I will be soon leaving on a worldwide tour with "No Doubt". or "I am being sent to an undisclosed location with Witness Protection, because I single-handled stopped a rash of break-ins at all of the local Panda Expresses that were being committed by the Springville Mob." Who knows what fun things I can come up with, you'll just have to wait and see....

Mission reunion

This weekend is my mission reunion and I gotta say, I am nervous. I am not sure why but I feel a little reluctant to go. I always loved it in the past. We are meeting at an Indian restaurant before hand and I am worried that I won't see anyone I know. I hope at least one of my companions come, otherwise it might be like eating dinner with a bunch of strangers....Awkward?!?!

My exciting life.

Though I may not have a lot going on in my life or love from a man, I have lots of love from my friends. They reminded me of that this afternoon. They were ready and willing to break into my blogspot page to make a more exciting blog for me. Though this is not anything near as nice as what they have done with their own pages it will have to do for now. Jennie and Karen...I changed my password. HEE HEE HEE!!
